Well hello November, it’s been awhile, a year to be exact.

While everyone is busy thinking about how Christmas is less than two months away now (let that sink in) I am busy thinking about Thanksgiving , a time to really focus in on what we are thankful for. We tend to say goodbye to Halloween and jump right onto the Merry + Bright train. No complaints I do love a good Mariah Carey Christmas song or two this time of year but turkey and gravy cannot be overlooked.
Thanksgiving dinner tends to be more about the turkey and the accompanying notorious sides such as mounds of mashed potatoes, grams famous stuffing, cranberry sauce and the other favorite fixings some of us wonder, what's there to drink? Many may pair their plates with glasses of wine, some may mix a mimosa. Then there are the elite, the beer drinkers. So you may ask: what beer do I place to the right of my plate? Amber Ales and Brown Ales are perfect ,made similar to the slow caramelizing process that we cook our turkeys in the oven. Light beer drinkers such as myself would benefit from Light Ale per their taste preference or even branch out and expand your pallet with a seasonal lager.
Don't show up this Thanksgiving empty handed. Have that drink hand ready! Here are some links to Illinois Breweries where you can order ahead of time to get you started. Dont show up empty handed, show up prepared this holiday!
