District Brew Yards, affectionately known as the “Brew Yards” is the first of its kind in the United States. It’s a brewery collective where guests craft their own experience. The Brew Yards is home to four in-house breweries and an award-winning BBQ shack – all in one location. Guests will shop at different breweries, grab a meal, pour their own beer, and have an experience unlike any other in the country. Think of it as a “food hall gone beer”.
With over 40 beers on tap, let’s take a look at the unique and innovative breweries you can try:
Breweries

If you’re feeling experimental, Around the Bend is your place. Some brews are unexpected and out of the ordinary, and some are classic and refined. Roll the dice and try something new!

They love bulldogs, and they love beer. Bold Dog Beer Co. specializes in American and Belgium style ales – with a big bold taste.

Burnt City Brewing creates beers that are extremely drinkable – yet experimental. You can find a brew for a relaxing Sunday afternoon, a late Friday night out with your pals, and anything in between.

Two Mexican-American brothers from Chicago’s vibrant Hermosa neighborhood created Casa Humilde Cerveceria with one goal in mind: make great beer that can be enjoyed anywhere.
Eats

Lillie Q Barbecue
Dreams do come true: Chef Charlie Mckenna and his award-winning team bring Lillie Q Barbecue INSIDE District Brew Yards. That’s right – you can order up their beloved fried chicken, pile on the sides, and never leave the brewery.
Experience

Patio
Summer in Chicago is when the city truly comes to life. Grab a spot at a table or picnic table for larger groups on this sizable patio. Children ages 0-10 are allowed on the patio.

Beer Cabana
Consider renting a beer cabana for your group of 10-30. This cocktail party-style tent (no reserved chairs under the tent) is a great way to reconnect with your pals and ensure your own space at District Brew Yards. No outside meals or drinks are allowed, but bringing your own decorations or desserts is totally fine. Furry children are welcome, but your human children need to stay at home when renting a cabana. $75-$150 per person for a three-hour booking.

Communal Beer Hall
If it’s a rainy day and you find yourself indoors at the District Brew Yard, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into München’s Hofbräuhaus! Their modern twist on a traditional beer hall is great for groups – no need to split tabs, just go up and pour your own beer!
Local Highlights
District Brew Yards sits between the vibrant West Town and West Loop Chicago neighborhoods and is a brief bus or train ride away from the world-famous Loop. Check out some of these local gems to round out your Chicago experience:
