Summer, summer, summertime. My favorite time of the year - which also seems to be the time of the year that goes by the fastest. They do say time flies when you're having fun, which makes total sense for summer.

When you think of summer, most people may think of the beach, I know we certainly do! A little gem in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago is North Avenue Beach. Located at 1600 N. Jean-Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive (North Ave @ Lake Michigan). Walking, rollerblading, sun tanning and swimming are just a few of the reasons you may head down to this summer hot spot. With an array of things to do in the area and a 22,000 square foot beach house with something to do for everyone, you are sure to have a blast. Life guards are on duty during the designated swim times from 11am-7pm. The beach season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Ample summer time to make memories and enjoy the weather.

We wouldn't be BeerTrippr if we only informed you about the beach, now would we? After you spend the day relaxing or having a fun volleyball game down at North Avenue Beach, a beer sounds quite refreshing, right? Here are some of our favorite places in the area where you can grab that tall, frosty, thirst-quenching summer ale to end the day off right or to get the night started.
